PERNOD TASTINGKamarád Mike Schütz včera večer prováděl ultimátní test Pernod Fils absintů. Do jedné řady postavil tyto lahůdky:
1914 vs 1930 vs 1940 vs 1955 vs Jade PF 1901 replica z roku 2006
A tady je jeho hodnocení:
Citace:
The 1914 is absolutely unique. Now I tasted it in comparison with the "younger" ones - and I found some differences: The 1914 is Balanced in a way I have never ever tasted it before. Not a single herb or ingredient is dominant - And that creamy mouthfeeling!!. And exactly that is the problem in the 1930 Tarragona batch: The Anise is overpowering the equilibrium. The 1940 is really a Worm-Wood-Bomb! And as in the 1914 the Anise and Fennel is perfectly balanced. The 1955 is somewhat "weaker" and not so intense as the predecessors. But still pretty balanced and to be honest: Here I found the best price/quality ratio ever!
It was very interesting to compare the very, very young Jade to its historical ancestors. Ted Breaux did definitely a very good job! Albeit the Wormwood is more dominant than in the original Pernods it's a very respectable approach!
