Je obrovská škoda že Pernodi, tvůrci absintu, zapomněli na veškerou historii a namísto kvalitního absintu, který by byl hoden jejich jména, udělali takový podprůměr barvený éčkama. Kdyby chtěli, tak by měli slavnější absinthe než Jade. Z toho jejich jména a histore by šlo vytřískat dominantní postavení na trhu.

What dream? Pernod Ricard doesn't know how to reproduce Pernod Fils from 100 years ago. No one believes they have access to the old recipe or protocol. No one believes they're going to start from the beginning and develop something new. This is probably the beginning of corporate buy-outs of small, successful independent distillers. Maybe a trial period under contract but if that produces profits then they'll want ownership. And once the corporate thugs start buying the independents then the whole game will change. Probably not for the better.

How long will Bugnon continue jobbing for others before someone offers him crazy money that he'll finally accept. Especially once the Val de Travers is the only place in the world with the designation that can make "real absinthe".

I think Pernod Ricard getting into the game could be the beginning of a nightmare.
